He is a very noisy sleeper. This makes church a little awkward like in Sunday school & Relief Society when it's time for prayer. I'm pretty sure the whole room can hear my baby breathing. He constantly has his hands right up at his face, scratching or trying to suck on them. I'm hoping we don't have a potential thumb or finger sucker... I have been giving him his binky more frequently to try to counteract that. Hoping it works.
He was blessed this last Sunday. He decided he didn't want to wear all white, so he had a blow-out right before church (when we needed to leave). How thoughtful. We rushed to get his outfit clean and he had to wear a slightly damp blessing outfit to church. The cool thing is that his blessing outfit is the same outfit his daddy wore at his baby blessing. It was made by Morgan's Grandma Joyce. We love it.
Carly has been much better since I've been able to function and go out & about. Now that we have more of a routine, there hasn't been as much whining & crying as the first little while. Carly has started doing a lot of new things since the baby was born. She started saying 2 word phrases like "up me", "down me" and "done me". Just this week she has been trying to use words more instead of whining when she wants/needs something. Mainly because we talk her through what she should say in simple words and it's really been helping. She loves her baby brother. She loves to point his facial features like eyes, nose mouth, hair, ears. Because his hair is so soft, she likes to touch it and kind of pull on it. Yet another reason I don't feel I can leave her unattended with him lol. She loves to take his hand in her hand and do a handshake kind of thing and say "hi hi hi hi hi". It's really cute. She also likes to touch his feet and toes and do the little piggies. She also loves to give him kisses, give him his binky (unless she's trying to steal it), and likes to help brush his hair.
First Sunday at church
Making a "marble works" type of invention. Carly was loving playing with marbles.
Playing at REI. She loved going "night night" and trying out the different camping mattresses.
We've been doing quite a bit of baking lately. Carly loves to help :)
The best of our family pictures attempted the day Benson was blessed.... Carly was in a bad mood...
