July

She loves her new bed. She still loves to sleep. Today, after church she kept saying "night night", then when we got home she ran into her room & closed the door. She still has to be put to bed though - meaning that we give her a binky, blanky & "tuck her in". Maybe eventually she'll figure out that she can climb in herself & put herself to sleep lol.
She loves her throw pillows I made her. She loves to carry them around the house & sit/lay on them, and just feel them. She loves soft things.
We went to the zoo this week with our good friends. I think this was their favorite place - they all loved climbing up and down on the step.

We've been trying to go to the library every 1-2 weeks. There are so many activities, books, puzzles, puppets, etc. However, Carly loves the computers and always tries to use them and put the headphones on.

There's a neighborhood cat that always comes around. Carly loves kitties and will say "mow" and follow the kitty around.
Carly loves stickers - one of the many things that keep her entertained during church on Sundays.
And last, but not least, my hubby has been doing a ton around the house. The latest project is a raised garden bed in the backyard. It's coming together nicely. He is a very hard worker and it's nice to see progress on our long to-do list of house projects. He's also been dry-walling our garage, he's made shelves for our hallway closet, and we've painted both kid bedrooms (among other projects - we seem to always be doing something). I have been busy with Carly's bedding, duvet cover, throw pillows, baby changing pad, baby blankets, recovering a bouncer chair, tie-vest onesies, etc. My sewing machine has been getting a lot of love. Check out my sewing projects here.

Family Reunion

We went to a family reunion on my Mom's side of the family following the 4th of July weekend. Morgan was able to get a couple extra days off that week (since luckily they are closed on the 4th) and we were able to see a lot of family in Spokane that week.

This was the day I discovered Carly would smile if I said "Show me your teeth." Loving this cute face.

We had dinner with everyone that could make it at a buffet place. Carly loved the cookies of course.

Now for the real family reunion at my Aunt's house....

Grandpa took Carly horseback riding.

We have due dates within a month of each other (and live about an hour away). Our babies meet for the first time :)

Carly loves her Grandpa.

Rachel's visit

My sister came to visit us for a week in Tacoma. So of course we did a lot of fun things :)

Owen's Beach. Carly decided once she had her non-water absorbent swim diaper on, she would pee. Thank you for not standing on the blanket when you decided to do this. She decided to pee again just minutes before I took her out of her swimsuit too.
She loves animals. She saw a bird and decided to go get it.
We went to a mall in Puyallup. She loves Barbie. Barbie let her try on all sorts of fun things during our shopping trip.
My sister couldn't resist this sweet bus. Let's be honest - it's pretty awesome.

Carly loved this part of the mall the best of course.

In AE, Barbie was putting backpacks on Carly. She started running through the store, back to the fitting room and when she saw herself in the mirror she said "Baby. Baby." Then pointed to her eye in the mirror and said "Eye." It was very cute. She was very excited to see herself :)
My sister found her almost perfect man....
Carly started hugging this mannequin's legs....
Then looked up. Could she see that they didn't have heads? Lol.
Then we went to Olive Garden. Carly was crazy. I was so grateful for Barbie & her girls. They were a lifesaver, or I wouldn't have lasted. Carly loved to dip her breadstick in salad dressing over & over, just licking it off.... Gross....
A sunny day at the park (just 12 min from my house!!!).
Carly trying to copy Rachel while watching a movie.
Awkward pic. Sorry Rachel. We both look awful as we're doing masks & sunbathing.
 Don't forget the cucumbers!!!

Carly the shoe thief! She thought she was so funny when she put on Rachel's shoes and walked around the house.
