riverwalk & birthday

 These swimsuit pics were taken a few weeks back - can't remember if we were going swimming or to the beach...

 

 Our favorite place to go on walks is 1 minute away from our house. This is part of Carly's bedtime routine. She gets her bath and then we go for a walk on the Riverwalk. 

 Since it is called the riverwalk, Carly decided she wanted to walk along the river too. Good job!

On my birthday. Sorry our camera is not fast enough. I was swinging her & she was giggling and smiling (but by the time I held her still & morgan snapped the picture....). I cut my hair this last weekend. It turned out a little shorter than expected. Morgan was gone & I was listening to music (probably not a good combo) anyway when I started cutting it - I wanted to go shorter than normal, but it's probably 1/2-1'' shorter than I thought it would look. At least in the front. After styling it - I am happy though. I also made myself a new skirt. Love the ruffles. 

I had a good birthday week. Yes that is right. My birthday lasts a whole week :) On Friday, I redeemed a free milkshake from Arby's, and got a free massage in the massage chair at Brookstone at the Galeria mall. On Saturday Morgan brought home a pizza & crazy bread for lunch, then later we went to Ruby Tuesdays to redeem my free burger, did a little shopping and later watched a redbox movie (mission impossible ghost protocol). Sunday Morgan made breakfast & dinner for me and gave me some delicious treats. This week I need to get my free ihop meal & tcby ice cream :) I'm 25 and life is good!

giggle attack

This really surprised us today. Carly has only done this one or two other times and I think it was because she was exhausted and kind of punchy. Today she had just woken up from a nap. I was making a dessert where I needed crushed graham crackers. To my surprise she started smiling as I hit the graham crackers on the table, then started laughing. Love it. Carly has been so much fun this week - she really is growing up - but it's so fun because she interacts with us so much more now.

same habits

Carly still likes to do this when she makes a fist. She does it with both hands still. Not as often now since she actually uses her hands now but it reminds me of when she was a newborn and did it all the time.

 As she is drifting off to sleep, Carly likes to stare at her blanky. She seems to be especially fascinated with labels. She will stare at the label on her dolly, carseat, and blankets. She's trying to teach herself to read :)

feet!

Oh no! It's happening!!! Good thing those little feet are clean.... for now.... It's so fun that she's doing more things, but this was a reality check that she'll soon be out the clean stage. You know, the stage where I can clean her hands and they stay clean? Or clean her feet and they stay clean. At this stage, it's ok that she's decided to suck on her clean feet, but I don't know how I will feel about this once I can't keep her clean...

crawling?

She hasn't figured out the arms yet, but is just starting to figure out the legs. She's been scooting around on her back, but this is the most I've seen her do on her tummy. 

 She loves sticking her legs in the air, or leg. We always go on an evening walk & this is what she was doing the other night. Just chillin' :) (We have hand sanitizer everywhere - no surprise we keep one in the stroller.) Just in case you're wondering - she is getting my hair! WOOHOO yes it's looking very auburn.
